Outside of the dorms, housing may be cheaper if you go inward of east county. The campus life at SDSU will be better. San Diego in general is a much more fun city also than Long Beach. Courseload is very reasonable and I felt like I could work part-time easily while enrolled, and I know people who worked full-time. Although CSUF has the better business program, it's harder than it has to be, and it grades based on a plus-minus grading system where an A- is a 3.7, but an A and A+ are still 4.0. Im a senior business analyst with a BSc in MIS from SDSU. Dont bother getting an MS. Its not very valuable. If you want a graduate degree with a focus in MIS, get an MBA. Its more marketable but focuses more on the business side. The ROI is higher than an MSIS or an MSCS. BS in MIS is very employable btw if you do not want to code.
