Any tank other than OEM is going to require modifications that range from welding new tabs on to widening the tunnel or even more, I would suggest replacing it with an OEM tank if you don’t want to be bothered with fitting/welding/spacing a different tank properly.

(for me anyway) I would guess that you could pretty safely run 30 miles after hitting reserve in whichever season.
