I thought that the 4 flashing lights was a drive failure. At least it was for me. I put 2 seagate drive in my 2 bolts a couple of years ago. Within a month they were both flashing and useless. The drives themselves were not bad. Tivo just didnt like them I forgot why. There was a whole thread about 4 flashing lights after using seagate drives.
