Thanks for your response. I tried to downgrade the Orbi router (RBR50) to see if the satellite (RBS50) would sync but no such luck. In the process of doing so, I realized that the slow white pulsing is continuous, and resetting the satellite (by holding in the reset button for 10+ seconds has no effect on the satellite (even though the power light changes from green to blinking orange).
