You may also try CV carbs thats bigger than stock 36mm one on drz. Its realy choked down and can handle up to a 40mm CV carb no problem. CV carbs are realy fuel efficent and less sensitive to altitude and temp changes.
May 21, 2021 · The FCR is a carb built to be fast and reliable, for all kinds of bike, but you have to re-jet. This has been made fairly easy on the FCR, so with some practice it should be an easy job. The DRZ E came with this carb, so the engine does well with it. And as said above, the knowledge on the FCR on this forum is immense. Enjoying the process of working with friends on dirtbikes! Install the carb as sent and fire it up. Get it fully warmed up and cleared out. Evaluate how it runs. You should be about 1-1.5 turns out on the idle adjustment and it should start and idle fine. If it needs more then 1.5 turns out to maintain a good idle the rod is set to rich, if it idles high it is to lean.

Just remember if you have a low end bog, it is lean and need to richen the needle a half turn. I'm at about 1100ft in Oklahoma. I get much better fuel mileage and no spooge unless I'm putting around following my wife on the trails.

Yes, it is a definite upgrade from a stock carb, both in top performance due to a larger, less restrictive bore (stock BSR CV is a 36mm, the Lectron can be a 39) and the Lectron is a flat slide carb. So even at full throttle, the BSR still has a butterfly in the intake path that further restricts top end.

With the 3rd lectron I had all the same exact experience with the first lectron.. the 450 just makes to much vacuum for the carb and holds the slide shut. Now let's talk performance. The tuneablity of the lectron is awesome the support isnt so great. The lectron carb needs an accelerator pump.. plain and simply it doesn't deliver enough fuel ...
To tune the rod, remove the slide and hold the slide to where the rod is pointing towards you. Turning it to the right will richen it. Turning it to the left will lean it. What you are doing is either threading it in and shortening the length of it (.006" per ¼ turn), or threading it out and adding length to it.
