You can however max out your Heart Containers before entering the Divine Beasts. If you try to pick up the Heart Container afterwards, the game won't allow it. You'll have to leave the DB, swap your hearts for stamina at the Horned Statue, travel/warp back and pick up the Heart Container which will be sitting next to the resting Divine Beast then. But 3 stamina makes jump you primary climbing move which is so much better than the slow normal climb. Especially with the climbing gear set bonus. It maxes at three wheels.
