And it's funny; now that it's installed and I've put some butt time behind it, it fits perfectly with my 2010 C6 GS Vette platform, and should have come from the factory like THIS for the money they charged folks (10 years ago). All of the factory shifters are vague, and long throw, so if you're willing to put up with high resistance, I recommend the MGW. To me I didn't like the high stiffness with my MGW. Just had a look at my C6 **** on the b+m shifter and the screw is an M5 x 16mm button head with a built in washer. The screw size though could well be different for your mgw shifter. You don't have to buy the screw with the washer attached, just buy a screw and washer separately if you have to. Feb 10, 2016 · C5 General - MGW shifter issue - Ever since we installed the MGW going from 4 to 5 is a little challenging. There is play in the stick while in 4th gear left to right. So if you don't move the stick right to take up the slack before leaving 4th you will often end up back in 3rd instead of 5th.

My previous C6 had the stock shifter and my Z06 has the MGW shifter in it from the previous owner. It's a huge difference. Absolutely love it. The throws on the stock shifter are far too long.
