This is a historic benchmark sale for Dave Kindig, as the 1953 CF1 series was his first venture into a “series-built” car, and this extraordinary custom Corvette has been sending ripples throughout the community since its debut to the world at the 2021 SEMA show.“We were there with multiple millions of dollars of vehicles being sold. “I remember it was the year Barrett-Jackson sold the Ron Pratte GM Futurliner.” Kindig has since sold a bevy of vehicles through Barrett-Jackson, including a 1968 Camaro, 1967 Mustang, 1966 Nova and a 1937 Chevy. “We did quite well with all of them,” he says.This year’s prestigious award went to a 1953 Corvette named TwelveAir. The wildly modified Corvette was the result of five years of work by the talented team at Kindig-it Design. The win is the first for Kindig-it.
