Heard it drains capacitors and makes it either give you "good" code or disables limp mode if codes are now okay. Going to give it a try today.The code I was getting when my jeep was doing the exact same thing was. P06dd. Apparently this is common enough on the new 3.6 they set guidelines to follow when you get the code. Step 1 reset the code and send you on your way. Step 2 change oil filter and pressure sensor and send you on your way. Step 3 oil pump.I changed: 1. Both camshaft position sensors (I was getting bank 1 and bank 2 errors) - came back. 2. It is the battery that supplies the voltage, the alt recharges the bat as it is used but it is the bat that supplies the base voltage. With everything running and the tunes turned down then you should see about 14v.As of now, I have completed the swap and the jeep is driving with no issues other than it won't accelerate over 2500ish rpms in every gear, it will just start bucking which I believe it the jeep going in a limp mode or safety mode from what I've read on other posts.
