Is scla honor society worth it.

I'm a new member and since it's by invite only I joined. Most honors societies are worthless but Tau Beta Pi, Sigma Xi, and a few others might looks good on a resume. I'd recommend focusing on engineering specific ones and ask professors about it. Generally, they are worthless. How much is Scla membership in this regard? We do have a membership fee, as do other honor societies. The cost of our lifetime membership is $95 per year. In college, should I join the honor society? Increase your resume’s value. I would join an honor society for your major. Where you have to get a certain major gpa and specific grade in certain classes. Sometimes these societys don't invite and you may have to find them. I am going to be applying to one after I get a mandatory B in my next semester class to qualify.If you get nationally-recognized organization, joining one isn't a bad thing, but most are just small organizations which either do fail, or are just glorified "discount" programs with no real academic rigor.
