Really there are 3 main things that cause issues with the sliding doors in this gen (and really other gens as well): the center roller, the rear latch, or the power release actuator. 90% of the time the problem is one or more of those things. A little more specifically (at least on my '99 EX), pressing the unlock button will unlock only the driver's door. Pressing it a second time will unlock all other doors as well.
