The faintness of the line tells you nothing about the viability of the pregnancy. If you take 6 tests after each other, you can have different shades of lines on each one. It means nothing. It is the presence of the line that is the important thing. So you could buy tests for the next 7 weeks, and still not get a darker line.

A few days ago I was getting faint lines on frer but only at night and then negative during the day so I stopped using frer. Bought a few clearblue tests today each with faint lines but the last one significantly darker.FRER is the most sensitive test, more so than Clearblue so sometimes a FRER will give a true positive when a CB will stay away negative because it needs a higher level of HCG before it registers a positive. Only a very faint line on FRER and all other brands (IC, Clear Blue and Superdrug) all BFN. FRER are the most sensitive tests available - they can detect hcg levels as low as 6 and ive actually known people test positive with levels lower than that. Other brand tests usually start around 15-25 hcg which if hcg doubles every 48 hours are generally 2-3 days later than FRER at showing a BFP. Thanks.
