The firing order is 1-2-7-8-4-5-6-3 as indicated. The right side cylinder order is 1-3-5-7 and the left 2-4-6-8. Thank you for the otherwise excellent article.

Not bad drives ok and sounds good. My question is timing. The motor is a 73 350 with Edelbrock heads, intake, and 650 carb, with a crane cam. I am using an hei distributor.
