Glock 19 vs xd.
The 19 holds more rounds. I've had the Springfield XD sub 9mm, a Glock 26 and 19. The biggest problem with the 26 is the lack of said a rail (why that's the case is beyond me; it would easily fit), which the XD has. As someone who's had and shot the lot, the grip angle on the XD is more in line with my liking. And the grip safety?

As an owner of a Glock 19 and M&P9 I say get the H&K P30. After shooting one a couple weeks ago they are MUCH better (my opinion) all around than the others. I've never held a pistol that fits nicer in my hand (even my Les Baer). What a sweet, soft shooting pistol. Wow. I will be selling the Glock to buy one this fall.

The primary intent of evaluating the Glock G34 GEN5 MOS and the Springfield Armory XDM-9 5.25 had nothing to do with competition. Rather, it had everything to do with personal defense. While the trend is to find the most compact pistols that can be safety fired, the long-slide end of the spectrum is rarely tread upon.
XD9 fits my hand better but the Glock 19 is more concealable because of the shorter grip. The XD is a pretty slept on gun, its comfortable, easy to shoot, and easier to manipulate than a gen 3 19. That being said, If we Californians had better access to a gen 5, I would probably go with that.
