using darts to tranq a giga is a total and complete waste, just use a crossbow. thanks man, brought my apprentice crossbow, with 200 tranq arrows, knocked it out a lot easier and faster, never would've guessed, lol. Darts are for low HP and flying dinos. Crossbows do too much damage to the weak dinos and flyers due to the damage modifier.

I kept finding the three gates and beartrap method on YT but it's a PITA how you only have a few seconds to get the placement of the fourth gate correct and if you make a mistake you're F'd. Tamed one with that method but lost a griff, wyvern and some otters.Bring a Quetzal or a Argy for flying transport and a Baryonyx or something similar to use. Land in a safe spot and eliminate any nearby creatures. IF another Giga is nearby, separate the one you want to tame. 4) Trap the giga! Use the Quetzal (or other) and land in a good spot, then ride on your chosen runner.
