It does seem like this would be pretty rare for the area. But I did find this paper discussing Caddo ceramic vessel sherds found in Central Texas, which says they are concentrated in areas where the Blackland prairie and Balcones Escarpment meet, which actually describes this area of Northeast Austin perfectly.
