I picked up a Mec 600 Jr second hand. It came with an assortment of wads and Winchester AA hulls, the newer HS type. I have a few problems with my 600 Jr. I have loaded about 200 shells on it thus far. My recipe: cb 4118-12b Windjammer. 29 bushing drops 17.2 grains Hodgdon Clays. CCI209 primers. JMHO but I would not lump the adjustable charge bar and the Spindex kit together as "upgrades." The Spindex is designed and produced by Mec. I can't conceive of anyone that had the newer design wishing to go back to the old. The adjustable charge bar is a device made by another company that was designed by another company to fit a mec.

I've been researching the possibility of getting into reloading 12 ga on a small scale, and have been looking at MEC 600 Jr. presses. The die sets are easy to switch out. It usually takes about 10 minutes once you get up on the learning curve. Since, I have other loaders, I primarily use the 600 Jr. for 3" .410's and turning out only a few loads in a given gauge - usually for testing.I am unable to get sufficient sizing action on the #1 (reconditioning) station of my MEC 600 Jr. with the automatic primer feeder installed. The primer feed assembly raises the nut that positions the eject bolt, creating a dilemma.
