Hey guys I recently picked up a 2006 silverado and I am getting a clicking sound that sounds like its under the dash passenger area. All the selections for the ac/defrost/floor etc work correctly. Every time it's started there is a buzzing noise, like an electric motor or pump running. It lasts for maybe 20-30 seconds then goes away and I can then hear the engine running. Engine runs well, does not vibrate.Wrong Octane/Bad Gas. Bad fuel can cause your Impala’s engine to knock. The wrong fuel can also cause a knocking sound. Using fuel with the proper octane rating is essential. If you need to be using premium fuel, use it. Air/Fuel Mixture Too Lean.
